Dr. Suresh has cleared the NET exam for 42 times in chemistry and has got All India Rank-0001 fifteen times
A river cuts through rock. Not because of its power, but because of its persistence. If ambition is the path to success, persistence is the vehicle one has to take to reach there. Persistence can change the failure into extra ordinary achievement. The story of persistence goes parallel with the legendary story of Dr. Suresh Kumar Verma from Jaipur, Rajasthan, who has astonished the whole world by clearing the super complex NET (National Eligibility Test) 42 times in chemistry from June-1999 to November 2022. As if this was not enough, he has also got All India Rank (AIR) 0001 fifteen times, AIR 0002 five times, and AIR 0003 two times from June 2009 to Nov. 2020. From June 1999 to Dec. 2008. World Book of Records, London is astonished and proud for Dr. Suresh Kumar Verma and includes him in its India edition-2022.
The best part about all this is that he always stands in top 20 % of NET-JRF qualified candidates. NET is conducted twice in a year by National Testing Agency and earlier it was conducted jointly by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grant Commission (UGC).
Dr Verma also cleared Graduate aptitude test in engineering (GATE) 17 times from the year 2001 to year 2019 in which he got AIR 001 three times, and AIR 002 three times. He has done study from Class I to Graduation level in rural areas which was totally backward.
On talking about his transformation, Dr Verma said “turning point of my life is admission in M.Sc. (Chemistry) program in University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India”. Despite being so successful in life, Dr. Verma cannot forget the sad demise of his loving father dated 06-01-2002. It all happened when he was doing Ph.D. from University of Rajasthan, and this broke him to the core.
His dad's demise did not leave him just emotionally wrenched, but also left a financial challenge in front of him as there were 7 more younger brothers and sisters who were eager to make their lives worth living and smiling. At that time there was no source of income except CSIR fellowship. With patience and meticulous economic planning and budgeting, he somehow treaded through those tough times.
Dr Verma is currently working as an Associate Professor in Chemistry at Government Girls College Chomu, Jaipur Rajasthan.
