One such metaphoric artistic oxygen has been delivered by Mr. Ashok Kumar, the phenomenal artist, who has made world's biggest portrait measuring 18 feet* 12 feet of Guru Nanak Dev ji. This huge canvas size itself represents the caliber of the artist without any words and proves that a picture is much more than millions of words and emotions. The whole painting is oil based made on canvas and stands as tall as 2 storied building. Mr. Ashok Kumar who made this larger than life painting, has paid tribute to Guru Nanak ji to mark 550th birth anniversary. World Book Of Records, London is astonished to see the dedicated artwork of outstanding Mr. Ashok Kumar and includes him in its India edition-2021. Mr. Ashok completed this painting in the span of 25-30 days, despite working full time job. He has used around 50 pencils to sketch it first and then there have been around 100-150 brushes used for colouring. He has used a specific oil colour by the name of Daler Rowney and has dedicatedly painted his heart out through this magnanimous painting. Mr. Ashok is appointed in Punjab Police Department. He is also renowned because of his previous artworks which include the largest painting of Golden temple measuring 51 feet*12 feet and also for the smallest paintings of just 2 Centimetres of ladies fighter, 10 Sikh guru, all 14 Presidents of India. The world biggest painting of Golden Temple has been showcased the historical Gurudwara Golden Temple, Amritsar, Punjab. His journey of painting dates back to childhood and since then he never gave up passion nor did he renounced his duties as a family person. He was appointed into his current job 8 years back, and since then he took a vow of not leaving his passion along with his professional duties. He has never taken any training and has learnt the art of painting by himself and has spent several hours performing the art and improvising every day. With a tight working schedule of job, he persistently kept up the zeal and used to paint in late nights and early mornings. A sum total of 1.25 lacs rupees has been spent by him on painting for which he has received the aid as well. He contributes his success to his beloved wife Mrs. Rajinder Kaur, who has always encouraged him and has stood strong by him. He is very thankful to all who helped him in creating this huge painting specially S P Obroi and brigadier- Indermohan Singh.
