Joint record attempt of Malwanchal University, Amaltas University and Thalassemia & Child Welfare Group
Indore : In a historic event, 6,500 medical students, teachers, and doctors united to take an oath for a Thalassemia-free India, creating a new world record. The joint initiative was organized by Malwanchal University, Amaltas University, and the Thalassemia & Child Welfare Group. The solemn oath was administered by Dr. Rajni Bhandari, Founder of the Thalassemia and Child Welfare Group, in the presence of Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, IAS and Additional Police Commissioner Amit Singh, IPS. Dr. Bhandari emphasized that Thalassemia is not just a disease but a significant burden on families and society. She highlighted the importance of premarital blood tests to prevent the birth of children with Thalassemia. Commissioner Deepak Singh underscored that raising social consciousness and spreading awareness are key to eradicating the disease. The gathering also saw the presence of University Chairman Suresh Singh Bhadoria, World Book of Records President & CEO Santosh Shukla, Mayank Bhadoria with other officials. The program was conducted by Shubham Singh, with a vote of thanks delivered by Malwanchal University Registrar Dr. Lokeshwar Singh Jodhna. This record-breaking initiative marks a significant step toward promoting awareness and prevention of Thalassemia in India.
