Indore: Barrister Santosh Shukla (President and CEO, World Book of Records) said that with the grand celebration of 17th Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas 2023, World Book of Records has organized an award ceremony to felicitate guests of Indian Diaspora. At the ceremony, Dr. Raman Gill of Alberta (Canada) was felicitated by prestigious Bharat Kirtimaan Alankaran 2023 for matchless contribution in Social and well-being for the betterment of humanity. The ceremony was graced by international personalities and other prominent guests including Shri Virendra Sharma (Member of British Parliament, UK), Dr. Diwakar Sukul (Chairman, WBR), Shri Jitendra Sigh (Scotland), Ms. Maya Vishwakarma (California, USA), Shri Prabal Sepaha, IAS (Secretary, MP Public Service Commission), Smt. The Bharat Kirtimaan Alankaran 2023 certificate was presented to Dr. Raman Gill by hon’ble guests of the award ceremony. The World Book of Records (India) and iudex International have instituted the Bharat Kirtiman Alankaran and the Lifetime Achievement Awards in the year 2017 with a view of giving recognition and motivation to the unsung Indian heroes across the world who are working hard for the betterment of the lives of the underprivileged. Bharat Kirtiman Alankaran is bestowed to personalities for matchless contribution in fields of justice, education, science, technology, environment, and holistic science, and spiritualistic awareness, social and cultural spheres to serve society. The Bharat Kirtiman Alankaran is conferred on the recommendations made by the jury of the award committee, which are submitted to the Chairman for approval. Significantly, she was born and raised at Ludhiana (Punjab) India. Parents hail from Amritsar District, however, settled at Ludhiana. Father is Punjab’s first official Landscape Engineer and mother is a homemaker with Bachelors of Education degree. Both come from farming backgrounds. Dr. Gill started career in a world-class biotechnology research lab and took career to great heights with passion towards education and research. She has a Ph.D. from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab, India with specialization in plant gene transfer; education degree from University of Calgary (Canada); Post Doc from Dalhousie University, Halifax (Canada); Molecular Training from International Rice Research Institute, Philippines.
