A remarkable achievement took the global stage when Miss Nairanjana Radhika, daughter of Dr. Pampa Majumdar, was officially included in the World Book of Records. At the age of just 10 years and 7 months, she became the youngest santoor player to perform a mesmerizing two-hour recital, earning her a place in the esteemed records. From an early age, she exhibited an innate connection with music. Unlike most children her age, which gravitate towards more common hobbies like sports or painting, was drawn to the unique and ancient instrument of the santoor. This hammered dulcimer, with its roots in traditional Kashmiri music, is known for its intricate technique and delicate sound. To master it at such a young age is a rare feat. Her musical journey began when she was just five years old. Her mother, Dr. Pampa Majumdar, noticed her keen interest in rhythm and melody and encouraged her to explore various instruments.
