The vast expanse of the Arabian Sea became the stage for an extraordinary act of determination. Master ReyaanshKhamkar, a young swimmer from Thane, Maharashtra, achieved a milestone rarely seen even among seasoned athletes. At just 7 years and 2 months old, he became the youngest Indian to complete a 30-kilometre solo open-water swim on 15 November 2025.
Reyaanshbegan his challenging journey at Malape Jetty, cutting through the open sea toward Vijaydurg. For 7 hours, 30 minutes, and 11 seconds, he swam continuously, battling waves, currents, and physical fatigue. The open ocean offers no fixed markers, no predictable conditions, and little margin for error making the achievement all the more remarkable for someone so young.
Each stroke demanded focus, endurance, and mental strength well beyond his years. Supported by careful planning and supervision, Reyaansh relied on his training and determination to maintain rhythm and direction across the long distance. The sea tested him at every moment, yet he remained steady, composed, and resilient until he reached the shore.
More than a sporting accomplishment, the swim stands as a powerful example of what discipline and early passion can achieve. Reyaansh’s journey reflects not only physical stamina but also courage and confidence developed through consistent effort.
By completing the 30-kilometre swim, Master ReyaanshKhamkar has set a new benchmark in open-water swimming. His achievement inspires young athletes and reminds us that with preparation and belief, even the most demanding challenges can be met one determined stroke at a time.
