Master Raunak Raj Singh Sahani, from Secunderabad, Telangana, India gets included by World Book of Records

Raunak to be able to perform maximum number of full contact knee strikes in one hour

Many people believe that superior intelligence or ability is a prerequisite for success. Overemphasis on intelligence or talent, on the other hand, leaves people vulnerable to failure, fearful of challenges, and unmotivated to learn, according to research spanning more than three decades. Parents and teachers can help children develop a growth mindset by praising them for their perseverance or strategies rather than their intelligence.Master Raunak Raj Singh Sahani of Secunderabad, Telangana, is an admirable kid who has excelled in Taekwondo and athletics at the age of 11. He can perform the maximum number of full-contact knee strikes in one hour. The World Book of Records in London has recognised his outstanding talent, and he gets included in the Kids Edition-2022.

It is very easy to undermine a child's self-esteem, especially if they are talented, gifted, and capable. Their interactions with teachers, peers, and parents are critical, and it is always important to look for indicators that a high energy, difficult, unhappy, or bored child has hidden talents. It all started when Raunak was in air force school's pre-primary, where his principal was concerned about his behaviour towards not writing in the class hours. His mother is a PGT commerce teacher at an army public school. During that time, his mother received a call from the principal to attend a meeting, and she went with trepidation to find out why.Surprisingly, she was asked to keep Raunak occupied in order to properly channel his high energies. Both parents took decisive action and enrolled him in taekwondo classes. That was the start of his martial arts chapter. He was able to perform knee strikes for one minute and take a three-minute break while setting this record; the process would last one hour. Another person will be holding the kicking pad at Raunak's chest level.

They saw results in Raunak's ability to focus and be disciplined, which eventually led to an end to his school's complaints. In his first season in Hyderabad, he won the long jump competition, and his parents recognised his athletic potential. His parents will ask him to participate in any upcoming event rather than forcing him to do so, and he will usually agree without being coerced.

Not only is he very good at athletics, but he is also very good at studies, with an average of 80-85 percent in his academics. He was named the 'best communicator in his class.' His favourite sports are badminton and cricket. In addition, prior to the pandemic, he participated in volley ball training at summer camps. His aspires to become an army officer. Social science is his favourite subject. He enjoys participating in art and craft competitions on occasion, and he is a particularly fond of dance and library activities.
