2,284 food operators were inspected by 97 food safety officers
Jaipur : The Food Safety Commissionerate has been awarded a prestigious certificate from the World Book of Records, London, for setting a world record in the inspection of food business operators. This remarkable achievement took place over two consecutive days, on August 7 and 8, 2024. During the campaign "Shudh Aahar Milawat Par War," launched under the guidance of Honourable Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Food Safety Department conducted extensive inspections across the region. A total of 2,284 food operators were inspected by 97 food safety officers, establishing a new benchmark for food safety efforts.
Pankaj Ojha, Additional Commissioner of Food Safety, emphasized the significance of this large-scale inspection and the coordinated efforts of the department. The campaign, which aimed to combat food adulteration and ensure the safety of consumable products, was widely praised for its effectiveness. The World Book of Records, recognizing the scale and importance of the initiative, officially included it in their record book and awarded the Food Safety Commissionerate with the certificate. This accomplishment highlights the department's commitment to public health and safety.
