For being the youngest ever full-time Vice-Chancellor of India’s oldest University - the University of Mumbai (Estd. 1857), at the age of 50 years and 68 days.
Indore: Barrister Santosh Shukla has announced that Dr. Sanjay V Deshmukh of Mumbai (Maharashtra), India has been included by World Book of Records for being the youngest ever full-time Vice-Chancellor of India’s oldest University - the University of Mumbai (Estd. 1857), at the age of 50 years and 68 days.
The Certificate was presented to Dr. Sanjay V Deshmukh by HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji (Renowned Spiritual Leader, International Siddhashram Shakti Centre, Harrow, United Kingdom) and Mr. Simon N. Ovens DL (HM The King Charles III Representative, Deputy Lieutenant for the London Borough of Harrow, United Kingdom) along with other dignitaries. Significantly, he has been working as Professor of Life Sciences at University of Mumbai since 2005. He is the only Teacher of the University to be a recognized Ph.D. Guide in five subjects, i.e., Geography, Botany, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences as well as Biotechnology and has successfully guided students in each of the above subjects. He has implemented 32 Research Projects with total research grants of over INR 15 Crore and additionally, INR 2.70 Crore for his parent Department. He has travelled in 45 countries for his research work and has to his credit, 172 research publications.
Mr. Shukla briefed that Certificate of Record (CoR) is an authenticated document of the certification division of World Book of Records Limited which is bestowed upon a person, place or thing with maintaining specific standards to serve in a concerned field or respected area of activities.
