Despite being 53% disabled, Mr. Vaidya Sunil Akshay kept on striving and never left any stone unturned to live a normal life. While studying in 10th std from Rupabai Bora English Medium School, Mr. Vaidya is a born artist, who has made more than 843 portraits of both painting and sketches. The topics of his artwork widely ranges on various subjects and themes. World Book Of Records, London includes him proudly in its Gold Edition-2021. Crediting his every iota of success and courage to his mother, Mr. Vaidya is filled with unbeatable enthusiasm and a vision to do something. His physical disability has never become his mental setback and thus he has always strived harder than the normal students. His masterpieces have been showcased at Raosaheb Patwardhan Smarak, Savedi, Ahmednagar to promote the qualities of disable people. His art always speaks the beauty of being courageous and depicts various colours in a disabled people's lives. He has always expressed himself as a common man and has strived to live the same way. Mr. Vaidya has also received many prestigious awards like National Award for Empowerment of People with Disabilities in 2014 and also of Best Creative Child in Disabled category. Despite having challenges in life, he has never stepped back in serving the society. Especially During pandemic times, he came up with 5 mantra draw for covid safety and distributed to 50 doctors' clinic of Ahmednagarand held the baton of welfare. He has also motivated people to donate their plasmas and has helped his friends to spread the awareness regarding the pandemic. He is one gem of a person, who is always interested in social work for disabled people. He also took part in various competitions and never hesitated in taking up any kind of challenge. He has also won many a times in cycling competition. He has also won state awards for swimming in Jaipur, Udaipur and has received a certificate in Bangalore. He has also done swimming in the sea in Gateway of India, where he stood amongst top 10 people. He has also won Swimathon in Pune University, district zone, inter-college competitions.
