111 Years old Padma Shri Saalumarada Thimmakka from Ramnagar, Karnataka, India gets honoured by World Book of Records - London

Hon'ble Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot (Governor of Karnataka) bestowed the Certificate of Honour

BANGALORE: 111 Years old Padma Shri Saalumarada Thimmakka from Ramnagar, Karnataka, India has been honoured by World Book of Records - London for her outstanding contribution in the field of environment conservation and afforestation. She has planted over 8,000 trees in 80 years and due to her dedication, untiring and unselfish efforts her sapplings have started to bear fruits. Hon'ble Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot (Governor of Karnataka) has bestowed the Certificate of Honour to Saalumarada Thimmakka. On this occasion, Shri Santosh Shukla, Supreme Court, Advocate (President, World Book of Records, Indo-UK), Dr. Suchita Shukla (Chief Editor, Alma Today), Ms. Shikha Sharma (President, WBR - Karnataka), Mr. Umesh B.N. (Indian Young Environmentalists, Ramnagar), Dr. Aneesh Vidyashankar (India's Walking Violinist, Bangalore) were present.
