Vadodara, Gujarat, India: Vadodara City Police has etched its name in history by creating a World Record for organizing the Largest Mass Oath-Taking Campaign, titled “Resolve for Drug Free India”, under the visionary leadership of Narasimha Komar (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Vadodara. The historic achievement was accomplished during the Vadodara Marathon held at Navlakhi Ground, where an astounding 1,08,000 participants and invitees collectively took a pledge within one minute, reaffirming their commitment towards building a Drug-Free India.

This unprecedented initiative demonstrated the power of collective social responsibility and showcased Vadodara’s firm resolve to combat drug abuse through awareness, unity, and public participation. The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from local and international runners, NGOs, government and non-government organizations, schools, colleges, and universities, along with Divyang (persons with disabilities) participants. The large-scale, inclusive involvement reflected the city’s progressive, compassionate, and socially responsible spirit.
