16 October 2026: World Book of Records wishes to inform the general public that it has recently received information regarding a personal legal matter reportedly involving Mr Wilhelm Jezler and Mrs Poonam Jezler, Swiss citizens associated with World Book of Records in Switzerland, where Mr Wilhelm Jezler serves as Honorary President.

We would like to clarify that this matter concerns the personal affairs of the individuals concerned and is separate from World Book of Records and its activities. As a precautionary measure, Mr Wilhelm Jezler and Mrs Poonam Jezler have been temporarily relieved of their current responsibilities and activities associated with World Book of Records until further notice, pending the outcome of the legal proceedings and the decision of the competent honourable court.

We wish to make it clear that this decision is an administrative measure and should not be interpreted as a statement regarding the guilt or innocence of either individual. The matter will be determined in accordance with applicable law and the decision of the competent court.
