Mitasha Foundation Creates World Record with Largest Organ Donation Awareness Lesson in Indore
Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Mitasha Foundation created history by organizing the largest organ donation awareness lesson, as adjudicated by World Book of Records UK. The one-hour awareness lesson was conducted from 6:30 am to 7:30 am at Nehru Stadium, Indore, and saw the participation of 6,128 people, making it the largest event of its kind.
The landmark initiative was organized with the objective of increasing public awareness about organ donation and anemia. The program was part of the foundation’s flagship initiative, “The Grand Walkathon – 2025,” which aimed to inspire citizens to actively participate in health awareness and social responsibility. The event received an overwhelming response from the public and marked a significant milestone in Indore’s history of social awareness campaigns.
A provisional certificate recognizing the achievement was bestowed by World Book of Records Chartered Officers Rajesh Shukla and Palash Shukla. The certificate was presented in the distinguished presence of Shankar Lalwani, Member of Parliament from Indore; Alok Singhi, Founder of Mitasha Foundation; Rajesh Mishra, Member of Parliament from Sidhi; Dr. Sudam Khade, Divisional Commissioner of Indore; Anil Nahata, noted educationist; P. D. Agarwal, prominent businessman; and Sureshbhai Patel, renowned industrialist.
Addressing the gathering, the organizers highlighted the urgent need to promote awareness about organ donation, a cause that has the potential to save countless lives, along with spreading knowledge about anemia, a major public health concern in India. The massive participation reflected the strong sense of social commitment among the citizens of Indore.
