Dr H R Nagendra, Chancellor - S-VYASA, Bengaluru (Karnataka) gets felicitated by World Book of Records Team

Indore : Dr H R Nagendra, Chancellor - S-VYASA, Bengaluru (Karnataka) India has been felicitated by World Book of Records, London for matchless contribution in Largest Diabetes Screening and Yoga based intervention and Lifestyle change program for Diabetic patients as “Niyantrita Madhumeha Bharata Abhiyaan”. On this occasion, Dr. Nagendra released the overseas edition of World Book of Records‘s magazine. He was felicitated by Shri Santosh Shukla (Advocate (President, World Book of Records),Shri Vikram Trivedi, Shri Pramit Maakoday and other dignitaries.
 
Significantly, being Chancellor of S-VYASA, Bengaluru, India, he is the Chairman, International Day of Yoga Experts Committee, Chairman of Task force of AYUSH Chairman of SAC of CCRYN, Govt of India, Ministry of AYUSH. He is now the Chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, Bangalore (S-VYASA) Deemed University. He has published 30 Research Papers in Engineering; authored and collected 110 papers on Yoga and co-authored 35 books on Yoga. He has guided nearly 20 PhD students. Under his pioneering guidance, largest diabetes screening in the world was done in India in last two years as part of the program called “Niyantrita Madhumeha Bharata Abhiyaan”.  The theme of this program being “Yoga and Diabetes, a Multi Centric Randomized Controlled Study” conducted under the aegis of Ministry of Ayush and Indian Yoga Association and under the guidance of you. 240,000 individuals between the ages of 20yrs to 80yrs were screened for this project they were randomly selected from rural and urban population of 60 districts in 28 states of India including union Territories of India.
 
On being recognised by World Book of Records London (United Kingdom), he was congratulated by Shri Virendra Sharma (Member of Parliament, England), Dr. Diwakar Sukul (Chairman, World Book of Records, London), Shri Santosh Shukla (Advocate (President, World Book of Records) and other dignitaries from International scenario.
