Pune, Maharashtra, India: Renowned anchor and cultural personality Anand Bhalchandra Deshmukh has been honoured by World Book of Records UK for his extraordinary achievement of uninterrupted compering the globally celebrated 71st Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav for 33 consecutive years. This rare accomplishment stands as a remarkable milestone within his illustrious 57-year-long anchoring career, reflecting his unparalleled dedication and contribution to Indian Classical Music and India’s rich cultural heritage.
The recognition celebrates Deshmukh’s consistent presence and commanding stage narration at one of the world’s most prestigious Indian classical music festivals, where his voice and presentation have become an integral part of the Mahotsav’s identity over more than three decades.
The honour was formally presented by Advocate Vikram Trivedi, Chartered Officer, World Book of Records UK. The presentation ceremony was graced by Shrinivas Joshi, Executive President of Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal, and Shilpa Joshi, Trustee, who were present on the dais during the occasion.
