KATHMANDU : Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu (Nepal) has been listed by World Book of Records, London for being oldest temple with mythological significance. Shri Ravindra Prasad Adhikari (Minister, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and President, Pashupatinath Temple) Kathmandu of Nepal has been Bestowed with the certificate by Shri Kalraj Mishra, Former Union Minister, GOI and Chairman Parliamentary Defense Committee - Govt. of India anlong with other guests. Significantly, the Pashupatinath Temple is a famous and sacred Hindu temple complex that is located on the banks of the Bagmati River, approximately 5 kilometres north-east of Kathmandu in the eastern part of Kathmandu Valley, the temple was erected anew in the 15th century by Lichhavi King Shupuspa. The twelve Jyotirlinga (in India) are the body and the Jyotirlinga at Pashupatinath in Kathmandu (Nepal) is the head over this body.
