Col. Krishan Singh is the first Indian to run 101 consecutive days while covering 6827.50 kms

Life is a race, but the people whose brains run on dopamine of movements are the real runners. Running in life denotes momentum and running in sports denotes sturdiness, determination and health. While running in life may curb your resilience if not done wisely, but a true sports runner always speaks volumes about both emotional and physical resilience. The legendary story of Col. Krishan Singh Badhwar showcases such extreme resilience. He is the first Indian to run for 101 consecutive days and has covered the maximum distance of 6827.50 kms. His strength emanates from his Indian army background and thus he has hard work and will power running deeper into his veins. World Book of Records, London admires his resilience and includes him in its India edition-2022.

Col. Krishan's journey began from 29th july, 2021. His quest for running kept rising by running every day for Ultra marathon (distance- 42.195 kms). He kept this practice on till November 6th, 2021 and covered 6827.50kms. All his running data is recorded digitally on GPS device COROS and gps running apps STARVA. There are multiple runners who have run with him during his quest and verified his endurance and record.

Col. Krishan has taken training fr NSG commando and has studied in Military School, Ajmer. He began his running passion from March 2021 during lockdown and then ran his first race in June for 10 days while covering 480 Kms. This served as a stimuli to make him go to higher levels of running and practising. He kept on running for many other milestones like 1225 kms and this is how he kept on preparing for running 100 kms per day.

Talking of his laurels, he also has topped Bharat premium league where 124 participants were there. The most astonishing part of his journey is that he never gave up any responsibility on his duty front and used to practice late night around 2 am. His passion was so irreversible that he used to head out after his family used to sleep, so for few days even the family was oblivious to his intense practice and running. He is also a gallantry award winner in Indian army.

He recalls his record attempt days and admits that no challenge comes without pain and he too faced difficulties in body like extreme joint pain, but he had already done his homework before getting into this long race so he knew the remedies and diets. He also learnt while running about many things like one has to change shoes after completing certain number of km as legs begin to give up. His journey has transformed him and he aspires to achieve better in next goal of running.

Master Jaikrish.
