Hemant Chouhan

Mr. Hemant Chauhan has been included in the world record for his matchless contribution in singing 8028 folk, Gujarati, and devotional songs for 38 years by World Book of Records, London.

Under the gracious presence of guests Dr. Asha Mishra Mathur (IPS) Retd. IG and Shri Madhukumar IPS, ADG and IG Ujjain Range, Shri Hemant Chouhan has been bestowed with the certificate of honor by President Shri Santosh Shukla, Advocate (President, World Book of Records). On this occasion, Shri Vikram Trivedi (Prominent Educationist), Dr, Suchita Shukla (President, Alma Kids International Preschool), Shri Abhishek Nigam and other prominent personalities were present.

Significantly, Hemant Chauhan is a Gujarati writer and singer. He specializes in Bhajan, religious and Garba (a form of dance) songs and other folk genres. He received 'Akademi Ratna Award 2011' for his contribution to the traditional folk music of Gujarat on 9 October 2012. He is frequently referred to as the Bhajan King of Gujarati Music and is also considered to be one of the best singers of Sugam Sangeet.

Apart from this, Padma Shri Prahlad Singh Tipaniya of Madhya Pradesh, India has also been honored for matchless contribution in the folk singing of Kabir Bhajans in Malawi folk style incessantly since 40 years.
